Eco Green Crafts- Eco-Friendly Craft Supplies

I know a lot of my fellow eco-crazy moms love to do crafts with their kidlets, so I’m super excited to share one of my favorite places to buy eco-friendly craft supplies!

Eco Green Crafts is passionate about contributing to the health and happiness of those who use art and craft materials by providing a wide variety of crafting products that are sensitive to both people, and the environment. My  Experience

When I first discovered Eco Green Crafts I could hardly believe my eyes, it’s not common to find eco-friendly craft supplies that cost the same, or less than “traditional” craft products! Now of course being the skeptic I am, I thought there had to be something wrong… Were they good quality? Would they work just as well as other craft products? I could hardly wait to put them to the test!

I received two Acrylic Paint Tubes and a bottle of Green Glueto review, and upon initial inspection was surprised yet again- the paint tubes were huge! Eco Green Crafts sells their eco-friendly acrylic paint for just $2.99 a tube, so without even looking at the size, I automatically assumed they would be smaller than average. I had just purchased a 2 oz. tube of Liquitex acrylic paint at the craft store for $6.00, so when I discovered that the Eco Green Crafts paints were 2.5 ounces (and half the price) I was quite impressed. Now I was really curious to put them to the test!

The kidlets recently gathered some pine cones on a walk, so I decided to try painting one of them to see just how well the Eco Green Crafts paintswould perform. While painting the pinecone, a two things really stood out to me- there wasn’t a strong odor like with many of the other acrylic paints I’ve used, and the coverage was amazing. Not only are these paints much less expensive, and environmentally friendly, but they cover so well you truly only need one coat, which means they will last longer as well.

Next, it was time to test out the Green Glue, and the timing couldn’t have been better. My son cam home from school with a homework assignment that involved some cutting & pasting, so I whipped out the Green Glue, and we got started right away! As we began to glue magazine pictures onto his piece of paper, once again I noticed there was no strong odor. Traditional glues such as “Elmer’s” have a very distinctive smell, but with Green Glue, there is little to no odor at all. I will say that Green Glueis a bit thicker than other glues we’ve tried, takes a bit longer to dry, and doesn’t dry quite as clear, however, it got the job done just fine! I am actually thinking that we may have used more glue than needed on this project, because it is thicker, a little goes a long way.

Overall, I am very pleased with the results we’ve had using Eco Green Crafts products, and am excited to have a favorite new place to shop for eco-friendly craft supplies! I look forward to trying some of their other products, and will be sure to keep you posted on our results with them as well.
