With Earth Day tomorrow, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite upcycling ideas. I LOVE upcycling- and what better way to honor the earth than taking something destined for the landfill and turning it into something you, or someone else can use!
Mod Pallet Couch
6 Pallets + Old Mattress + Pillows + Large Piece Of Scrap Fabric = Hip Upcycled Couch
2 Liter Bottle Garden
Forget spending $20 on a “Topsy Turvey” plant hanger, make your own with a few 2 liter bottles, a hole punch and some twine!
Self Watering Vase
Here’s another great way to upcycle those 2 liters- perfect for busy moms like me who can never remember to water the house plants! We’ll definitely be making these soon!
Upcycled Crayon Bits
Don’t throw out broken crayons, use them to make new ones! This is one of our FAVORITE ways to upcycle, the kidlets love their upcycled crayons more than they do new ones!
Bucket Storage Bins
Buckets + Drilled Holes + Zip Ties = Instant Storage
Whether you do a smaller version with sand buckets, have some extra 5 gallon buckets laying around, or use big tubs like in the picture, these make a great storage option for the kids room, or even the garage!
Juice Pouch Snack Bags
Juice Pouches + Scissors + Adhesive Velcro = Easy Reusable Snack Bags
What a great way to reduce waste, not only are you upcycling juice pouches, but you’re also eliminating the need for disposable snack bags!
Upcycling is a great way to go green, and a whole lot of fun too! Do you have any upcycled treasures or projects you’re working on? Please leave a comment and share!

I love the couch idea!
Thanks for the plant hanger idea… I might have my own little balcony veggie garden this summer!

I have seen many many upcycling ideas. All though were using bottles, jars, containers and even the crayons. Never have I seen anything like that couch. Oh I did see making a children’s play kitchen out of an old desk. That couch however is phenomenal. And it could double for a guest bed. I totally love it!!
The couch is beautiful and I love the crayon bits.
I really want to find a great way to use old pallets. The pallet couch looks really neat!
